WILLIE:  Age Senior  Large size

 

Adult neutered male. House trained and crate trained.

 

Willie is current on all of his vaccines, neutered, HW Negative, and micro chipped.

 

Willie is a great dog.  He is ok with other dogs-however-he does like to try to be the big dog-he would     be best with a female who will  just like to play-what he likes to do is put his head over the dog-trying to be the dominant one- only when meeting newer dogs -then he will get over it. He can be called off  quickly  Willie and his foster home's Lab mix play very well together.   He is a stubborn Chessie-like a      lot of them are. He is crate trained, but  is out of it all day here-is in at night. He will not actively start a fight-but will defend himself.  His ideal home would be one with him as the only dog-he would be in his glory. He  would also love to have someone home with him all day.

 

Willie listens well, knows sit and down and shake, and has good recall, loves to go for walks and car rides. His favorite thing is to just be with you.  He is crate trained-- house trained, and LOVES people.     He would do well in a family who was more on the quiet side-as he is more of a laid back dog-his ideal family would be a retired couple who loved to travel and could take Willie along-or who spent most of their time at home with him-as his favorite thing is to just lie by your side wherever you are. When Willie first came he didn't like to retrieve, but has gotten to be more playful and now will initiate some play      and retrieving.

 

Willie will not be a hunter-as he does not like gunshot or firecracker noises-
