After almost a year in rescue, Rocky found his forever family and moved to Tennessee!
Meet Rocky, Rocky was 2 in June. He loves people and kids, and is even okay with cats. Rocky has a lot of energy that needs to be harnessed to be happy and well behaved. He is very much puppy like in that respect.
Hi everyone, My name is Rocky and I am almost 3 years young. I am a happy boy with lots of energy to keep healthy by playing with me. I like to walk and run and play and retrieve-oops-I don’t like to give up what I retrieve however. My foster mom is working on exchanging and I am doing better. You see, I was not taught to give the proper way when I was younger, only with anger. This is hard to forget.
I am all updated on my shots, and have a thing called a chip. I am crate trained, house trained, and listen well outside. I LOVE kids, and I LOVE people. My foster home has 2 kids, and I love them and their friends I really LOVE men also.
Now, I don’t like intact dogs at all, but I am friends with the older spayed female Chessie in my foster home, and I even like the cat. Because my fosters are breeders, the rest of the dogs are intact, and we don’t get along. So, to be able to have fun and have a safe place to play, my home should have a fenced yard, or someone who is able to give me lots of exercise.
I hope you will come visit me-bring your doggie and see if we hit it off, or make me the star of your home with no competition. I am a great dog, and will be a loving companion.
Love, Rocky
P.S. You can watch a cool video of me on YouTube and see how well I listen to my foster Mom on our hike. Just go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bD13AZH7IM
Rocky is a typical young Chessie that needs a job to do. He would be a great companion for someone who is looking for an active dog to run, hike, or just play.
